Shipping & Returns — Muggy Weld

We appreciate your trust in Muggy Weld. Below you’ll find our straightforward and reliable shipping and returns policy. Our goal: ensure your order arrives as expected, and if something isn’t right, make resolving it as smooth as possible.


Shipping

Service & Timing

  • We ship in 20-inch mailing tubes, which do not fit in standard mailboxes or postal lockers.
  • Once your order ships, we’ll email you a tracking number — please hold that email so you can track your package via UPS or USPS.
  • We aim to dispatch orders within 72 hours of receipt, though occasional delays may occur.
  • Ground Advantage (USPS) is not guaranteed. If you require delivery by a specific date, we strongly encourage choosing UPS expedited services.
  • We do not refund shipping charges for UPS delays, unless you purchased Next-Day Air and UPS issues a refund. We do not refund USPS postage, as Ground Advantage is not a guaranteed service.

Delivery Risk & Special Services

  • If you have concerns about package security (e.g. past thefts, unreliable delivery to your address), you must request one of the following, before shipment:
    • Signature Required (free)
    • Adult Signature Required ($6)
    • Hold at Post Office (free)
  • If none of these are requested, you accept responsibility for the delivery risks and must pursue claims with USPS for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Delayed Packages

  • If your package is late, please do not call our order line.
  • Contact USPS directly at 1 (800) 275-8777 with your tracking number.
  • Once a package is in the hands of USPS or UPS, responsibility for delivery lies with them — we cannot control internal carrier processes.
  • We carefully package, label, weigh, scan, and hand off each order to the carrier. At that point, your tracking number becomes your point of reference for updates.
  • Because we don’t have internal carrier access, we cannot be held liable for carrier delays.

Claims for Loss or Damage

  • Inspect your package immediately upon delivery. If anything is missing, notify us via email within 24 hours so we can support a claim.
  • If an entire order fails to arrive within 15 days of shipping, contact us to initiate a missing mail search on your behalf.
  • USPS considers 15 days “on time” for Priority Mail; Ground Advantage often averages 2–3 weeks.
  • We must wait 30 days (or 60 days for international orders) before issuing refunds or reshipping, to allow time for investigations.
  • Every outgoing package is individually scanned, weighed, and inspected. If you receive an empty box, we’ll compare weights and supply documentation to assist your claim.
  • Once the carrier has scanned the package as delivered, Muggy Weld is no longer financially responsible for damages, loss, or theft in transit or after delivery.

Address Errors & Fees

  • UPS imposes a $22 fee for incorrect, incomplete, or changed addresses.
  • Please double-check your address, including apartment or unit numbers, and notify us immediately if a correction is needed.

Expedited Orders

  • Orders earmarked for Overnight, 2nd Day Air, or 3-Day Select, placed by 12:00 pm PST (Monday–Friday), will ship the same business day.
  • Orders placed after that cutoff will ship the next business day.
  • We cannot assume financial responsibility for delays caused by UPS or USPS when using expedited services — direct issues to the carrier with your tracking number.

Cancellations

  • Once an order is packaged and labeled, it cannot be canceled.

International Orders, Duties, & Returns

  • Import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees are not included in our item or shipping prices — they are the buyer’s responsibility.
  • All international sales are final. No refunds, returns, or cancellations are allowed — including for refused packages due to unpaid duties or fees.
  • If your package is refused and returned, it will be treated as abandoned, and no refund will be issued.
  • Be aware: UPS may charge between $100–$300 for international return shipping in such cases.

Receipts, Returns, & Refunds

  • You’ll receive an email receipt and a shipping confirmation with tracking number at the address you provide. We do not issue duplicate receipts or packing slips.
  • We accept unused, unopened, new-condition items for return within 30 days of receipt.
  • The buyer pays all return shipping, reshipment fees, and a 20% restocking charge on returns.
  • Only items purchased directly from MuggyWeld.com are eligible for return or exchange through us.

To initiate a return:

  1. Email us to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) within 30 days of receipt.
  2. Postmark your return within 5 days of receiving the RMA.
  3. Mark the RMA clearly on the outside of your package; include the RMA email inside.
  • We do not accept returns of used items under any circumstances.
  • Unauthorized returns will be refused or disposed of, and no refund will be issued.
  • If an item is marked “return to sender” or “refused” (including non-pickup by buyer), it will be processed as a standard return: refund minus original shipping, return shipping, and the 20% restocking fee.

Liability

Muggy Weld LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage arising from:

  • Use of our site
  • Products or services purchased
  • Errors or omissions on our site
  • Unavailability or interruption of site features
  • Any content on the site

By selling welding alloys, we do not guarantee that welding carries no risk, and we are not liable for damages or losses from its use.
