Watch the Video Clip of this repair here

Super Alloy 1 can easily repair pits in pot metal. Prepare the pits by drilling them before soldering.

Watch for the flux to turn root beer brown, then gently swipe the Super Alloy 1 rod back and forth over the pits to fill them.

After applying Super Alloy 1, the pits are filled. Simply remove the flux with warm water, sand the part until smooth, and you're ready to chrome plate.

TIPS

Clean the area to be repaired well using a Dremel or sanding disc etc immediately before you make your repair. If it sits for more than a couple hours after cleaning it will oxidize and you will need to clean it again before soldering.

Wait for the flux to do it's job before adding the rod, the flux will turn brown when ready.

Propane, mapp gas, butane and even oxyacetylene will work just turn the oxygen way down if you are using oxyacetylene.
