Welding a Cast Iron Jeep Wrangler Engine Block

Muggy Weld customer Mike Timm welded his 2004 Jeep Wrangler engine block, which had a piston skirt blow a hole in the side of the motor.

Mike had been advised by numerous welding shops that welding cast iron was impossible, so he decided to attempt the job himself.

After purchasing 77 cast iron electrode from MuggyWeld.com, he was able to repair the block, using a mild steel patch and his old Lincoln welder.
