Heat protection really comes into play when metal parts are connected to or close to heat sensitive surfaces such as glass, rubber, paint, chrome, plastic etc.






We apply the Cool Blue heat paste to the crimped piece, to protect the rubber from melting, without having to disassemble the part.






As you can see, the torch is an inch away from the rubber hose line.






After making the repair with Super Alloy 5, we let the part cool naturally.






We removed the heat paste, put it back in its container for further use, washed off the flux with water & a wire brush, and the part is ready to reinstall.
