Integra Gear Pickup Repair

This 1993 Acura Integra odometer gear pickup needs reattached.







We used a vice to line the part up properly and then welded the aluminum with Super Alloy 5.







After reattaching the part, we built it up with Super Alloy 5 to eliminate any future problems.

TIPS

The customer didn't want to grind or sand the part because it wasn't going to be seen and he didn't want to lose any strength.

Notice the deep bevel in the 2nd picture, this creates a stronger bond.

The flux is an absolute temperature guide, simply watch until it turns into a liquid and you're ready to apply the rod
