Antique Pot Metal Drawer Handle Repair

Super Alloy 1 can easily repair broken pot metal. Prepare the piece by wire brushing it prior to soldering.

Cool Blue Heat Paste not only works as a heat sink, it's an excellent jig as well.

I've already completed one half of the repair, so I utilize Cool Blue to protect the existing repair from remelting.

Just a few cents worth of Super Alloy 1 can repair this irreplaceable antique part.

You can see how beautifully the product flows front and back.

Simply remove the excess flux with warm water and you're finished.

TIPS

Build up from the back side of the part to increase strength.

For safety, and for best results, allow metal to cool down completely before removing Cool Blue Heat. Never pour water on a hot part because this will shock the metal and decrease the strength of the bond.
