Often times a/c condenser lines are damaged through either car accidents (collision), rub throughs by other lines in the engine, or by faulty installation by the auto repair shop (such as a screwdriver slipping during installation) and resulting in a puncture in the aluminum condenser.

Whether you are a shop owner needing to repair an accidental slip, or a car owner who has experienced a puncture in the air conditioning line, the following demonstration will be beneficial in saving you money as well as avoiding replacing the condenser.

A hacksaw cut into an aluminum A/C condenser line gives a great test to apply or practice your torch skills with the Super Alloy 5. This repair is being made without precleaning!

Super Alloy 5 flows out like a silver solder and the complete repair took less than a minute. A natural gas torch was used here but almost any type of torch will do.

Less than 10 cents worth of Super Alloy 5 was required for this repair. This tube was made whole again without blocking the line or even precleaning the surface area.
